Making a book

I was talking with my book partner, Val, the other day about the making of our cookbook “EveryDayMaryJ”. Initially way back in February, I thought it’d take like a month or so. Turns out I knew nothing! Thanks to Val and her photographer’s eye, we came up with a book that has truly mouth-watering photos and I think some fun content. But, I guess the point is that if it weren’t for Val, I’d probably be handing out recipe reprints on the corner somewhere. I tend to go fast and move quick, while Val has that wonderful calm, deliberate energy. It definitely takes different energies to birth something – whether a book, a business, or a baby. So, thanks are in order here for Val; thanks for being you. You’ll see what I mean when you look at the photos in EveryDayMaryJ – enjoy!!
