Pets ‘n Pot

Every complex animal; humans, dogs, elephants, everyone, has an endocannabinoid system. This is a regulatory system in the body that responds to cannabinoids and helps maintain health. So cats and dogs, our fur friends, can get healthy happy and calm with cannabinoids, particularly CBD. You all might know that my cat Hugo J. Treadwell got over his cancer with a full plant (THC) compound, but that’s quite tricky. I’m not a vet and there are few guidelines for dosing pets with THC, but CBD is much easier to work with and really helps. CBD, or cannabidiol, is found in all cannabis but is especially prevalent in hemp, as it has no more than .03% THC. Because CBD has no psychoactive effect it’s not going to mess up your puppy or confuse the cat. And if you have a pet who has skin issues, hates thunder and fireworks, or deals with anxiety, you need to check out CBD. Please be aware that some of it is ‘dirty’ or may contain THC or other compounds you don’t want. It’s def best to get organic, tested CBD from a dispensary or make your own. And if you’re interested in making your own, check out my CBD for Pets classes at www.maryjwhite.com. Remember, human or fur bearing, cannabis cures!
